WEBSITES & DIGITAL

My first job was as a digital designer. Since then I’ve designed numerous websites, and paid media banners. I’ve watched the digital world evolve and change, as we wrote the rules of user interface design. Here are a few samples of work I’ve done over the years.

HBO: A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms
To help launch the latest Game of Thrones installment, we worked on a campaign supported by Taskrabbit. This website served as a landing page for people who wanted to participate in the sweepstakes.

PMK•BNC
Designs for a rebrand of the PMK•BNC website

CDPH
Early website designs for the California Department of Public Health Champions for Change website.

Walk In Our Shoes
Talking about mental health is becoming a normal part of society.
However, trying to talk to nine-year olds about not stigmatizing others
who may have mental health challenges, took a little bit more care and thought.

CityLinkLA
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti wants to bring high speed internet accessibility
to everyone in the city of Los Angeles. He started the initiative of CityLinkLA
to encourage large businesses to bid on creating the high speed network
and bringing LA into the future.

Department of Parks and Recreation
Our outreach team needed a quick and effective way to engage water-goers
and reward them with a free life jacket. To accommodate the outreach
team we used the idea of "Would You Rather"
with a visual heavy, single-tap user interface.

California Highway Patrol Credit Union
We needed an easy user interface, with an easier CMS
to make the banking process a breeze for the Highway Patrol.

Tower Records Project
Tower Records began in Sacramento, so where better
to archive the paraphernalia from its long history.
The Tower Records Project was designed as a historical
website, that would show some of the history of Tower Records
while also asking for donations to catalogue
and archive the legacy.

Black Bottle
A luxurious website for the brand enhancement
of Black Bottle Whisky.

Westlands Water District
Westlands Water District have been warding off controversies
and appeasing all political sides when it comes to water usage
in the central belt. They needed a new website to give growers
information on conservation, meetings, updates to policies
and so much more.

Associate Degree For Transfer
The digital buy for the Associate Degree For Transfer campaign served
as a campaign extension using the achievements of more high
achieving California Community College alumni.

Champions For Change
After monitoring click through rate and extensive focus groups
we scaled-down the Champions for Change web banners
to cinemagraphs, that are eye catching
and deliver a useful tip.

CalMHSA: Walk In Our Shoes
Web Banners to accompany our anti stigma campaign.
Designed to compete with other web banners targeted
on websites like Nickelodeon.

California Community Colleges
The I Can Afford College campaign has three target audiences
that all had to have different angles of messaging. The teen audience
was the largest media buy so we focused on achievement, dreams,
and the usefulness of financial aid. For those returning to college
we focused on career change. And for the parents
we centered our messaging around pride
and success for their children.

California Community Colleges: Telenovela
Web Banners that are just as dramatic
as the pre-roll spots they stem from.

Department of Parks and Recreation
Short snappy web banners to promote water safety.

Goodwill
Goodwill ran a campaign around February encouraging people
to donate their ex's left behind items. These web banners
appeared on Pandora, so using the thumbs up/thumbs down
iconography was a natural fit to emphasize the idea of getting
rid of a significant other, but keeping and donating their clothing/items.

Tunnel Tail
Rather than using screen shots from the mobile game
we decided to use real mice to advertise Tunnel Tail.

JACO
Getting rid of your fridge should be as simple as hitting
the easy button. And it is when you click through
from these catchy web banners.
